New in 2019!!!!! Woodlands Rugby is proud to partner with Canterbury North America to offer $3,000 in Prize Money at Woodlands Rugby's Come and Take It Tournament. The $3,000 Prize Money will be split evenly: $1,500 towards the Boys Varsity Champions and $1,500 towards the Girls Varsity Champions. The $3,000 Prize Money will be in the form of Canterbury Store Credit to be used at Canterbury's Online Store.
All games will be played on turf and grass fields.
Medical & Safety
There will be medical personnel complete with Licensed Athletic Trainers from onsite at all times throughout the tournament.

1. Teams Deposits Required for Registration
Varsity Boys- $200
Junior Varsity Boys- $200
High School Girls- $100
Grades 1-8- $0
*All deposits will be refunded at check in during tournament. Any team cancelling registration in tournament or is a no show will forfeit their deposit.
2. All teams must complete required paperwork and submit through registration Portal by March 1st 2019
3. Team Check In- All Teams must check in 90minutes prior to first Match to confirm Paperwork and recieve Refund for Deposit.
4. Teams traveling from outside of the USA must submit a letter of approval from their home Union to be able to participate.

Tournament Rules, Regulations and Guidelines
It is vitally important that all teams follow the USA Rugby code of conduct in order to create a safe environment for all to participate & spectate.
Alcohol- Alcohol is strictly prohibited at this Tournament
Team Check In
Team representatives must check in at Registration Tableat least 90 minutes before their first scheduled match.
Eligibility & Roster-

Roster size — Roster Minimum must correspond with division format (eg. 7’s format, 7 minimum players on roster needed)
Liability Waiver — Each team must submit a Roster, Front Row Waiver and Consent to Treat Formto the tournament director before starting play (Submitted online through Registration link). Players are also be required to give an active membership number(CIPP) from USA Rugby (visible on Roster) or if a team is travelling from outside the USA have a letter of consent from their local union.
One player. One team. One bracket —A player may only play for one team in one bracket. Any team that plays an individual that is not on the team roster will forfeit the match.
High School/U19 Players — High School teams may not roster players aged 19 years and above. In addition, players with college rugby experience are not eligible for a High School team. ~ See USA Rugby HS eligibility PDF for Guidelines
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three matches. Should weather be a factor the tournament reserves the right to shorten or cancel matches in order to accommodate teams that are advancing toward the division championship.
All 15’s Matches will consist of two 15-minute halves and a 3-minute half-time.
Grades 1 & 2 willconsist of two 7-minute halves and a 2-minute half-time.
All 7’s matches willconsist of two 7-minute halves and a 2-minute half-time.
There will be a maximum of 12 teams to compete in each Division. Each team will be awarded points based on the following matrix:

Code of Conduct Policy
The Woodlands Youth Rugby Club is committed to hosting an amazing tournament for all to enjoy. However, as our event takes place outdoors, both on synthetic turf as well as grass fields we may be forced, on rare occasions, to make some changes in the event of inclement weather. Here are some likely changes
All games will go on as usual according to schedule.
Games on our two synthetic turf fields will proceed as normal. However, games on the grass fields will be subjected to field conditions but most probably games will proceed as normal.
We will follow the USA Rugby lightning policy.
We reserve the right to cancel games in severe weather until conditions are suitable to play again. This might result in either shorter play time and/or some changes in the format.
We will always do our best to make sure the tournament goes on as planned, but in the rare event if weather becomes dangerous, this event may be canceled altogether.
It will also be at our discretion to either start the first games at an earlier time or end the day at a later time. Teams will be informed in advance of these changes if it occurs.
We will immediately update this website if inclement weather is certain as we get closer to the event. We try to make the best informed decision possible, but we all know how unpredictable weather can be. Safety will be our first priority.
