Woodlands Youth Rugby Club is a 501 (c) 3 non profit organization and is committed to providing community-based, recreational and competitive rugby programs for boys and girls grades 1-12 from school districts of Conroe, Montgomery, Klein, Tomball and Spring.
Woodlands Rugby is a multi-school club sport and competes in the Texas Youth Rugby Association playing both TYRA (Multi school clubs) and Texas High School Rugby Conference THSRC (Single School Teams). Players for Woodlands Rugby have the chance to shine and achieve by being selected to try out and compete for Houston Area, State and National teams. Our Director of Rugby and head coach Frank Rizzo has long been involved with Rugby playing in the early 70s, when rugby was relatively unknown. Coach Rizzo went on the play in college and then throughout England, New Zealand and Australia. He then made his way to Texas and previously coached at Sam Houston State before coaching for The Woodlands Rugby Youth Rugby Club.
