Boys HS Spring 2018 Rankings

Boys HS Club Week #8
We waited to release the rankings until after Wednesday night's all-Utah battle between No. 16 Genesis and No. 1 West Valley, and it was a good thing we did. West Valley, we told you last week, was a precarious No. 1, and the Warriors fell to a Genesis team that has lost a close game to West Jordan.
Right now, we're looking at Genesis and thinking it was missing some players against West Jordan, and that might have had an effect on the 14-12 loss earlier in the season. So, for now, we put that result a little bit aside and move Genesis past West Jordan.
There's still much to come from Utah, and we expect a clog near the top for the teams in that state, Texas, and Northern California.
The Dallas Harlequins Colts are undefeated and were probably ranked too low (in part because Rugby Texas had, for a while, caught the bug sweeping the nation wherein no one reports scores—looking at you, Rugby Washington, and you, Rugby Virginia.
Legion made a big move in Virginia. Out in Texas, Woodlands beat Katy and moved into the top 10. Irvine Rhinos (CA) forfeited a game, and you know we hate forfeits, so they get dinged hard. But they can rebound. Results matter.
Jupiter won a big one in Florida over Orlando and gets rewarded, and Downingtown makes the top 50 out of Pennsylvania.
